Are you looking for creative ways to spark curiosity and engage kids with marine biology activities? Bring the beach inside with these five activities you can easily do at home to teach kids about the ocean, marine life, and the threats they are facing. These activities will spark discussions on ways you can reduce your impact on our ocean.
If your children are inspired to share their learnings with others, they can create an Ocean Awareness project. Kids will make a poster, a skit, or a song that raises awareness about an ocean threat and encourages others to take action. If you have a budding scientist, they can start an ecological research project. Have them choose a topic, make a hypothesis, observe and collect data, then create a chart or graph to show their findings.
