Part 10 of the Parks Canada Youth Ambassadors summer adventure – on the last stop of their adventure Patricia, Karam and Clara explored Fort Langley National Historic Site and spent the night onsite in an oTENTik. They also reflect on the amazing summer they had, traveling across Canada in just over three months!

Part 9 of the Parks Canada Youth Ambassadors summer adventure – Patricia, Karam and Clara learn about the collaboration between the QENTOL, YEN/ WSÁNEĆ Marine Guardians and the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve research conservation team and the amazing work they are doing to protect the Southern Resident Killer Whales!

Part 8 of the Parks Canada Youth Ambassadors summer adventure – Clara, Karam and Patricia team up with their colleagues from Gulf Islands National Park Reserve, as well as youth volunteers from the Canadian Conservation Corps to help with European green crab monitoring in eelgrass meadows.

Part 7 of the Parks Canada Youth Ambassadors summer adventure – Karam, Patricia and Clara start their West Coast trip with a cozy night in an oTENTik at Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites; a place where history and nature are one!

Part 6 of the Parks Canada Youth Ambassadors summer adventure – Patricia, Karam and Clara visit Grand-Pré National Historic Site and take part in a community commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the Landscape of Grand-Pré’s UNESCO World Heritage Site designation.

Part 5 of the Parks Canada Youth Ambassadors summer adventure – Karam, Clara and Patricia travel to Fundy National Park to visit one of the pollinator gardens. They meet an expert from the park and learn about the importance of native plants and pollinators in sustaining healthy ecosystems and biodiversity!

Part 4 of the Parks Canada Youth Ambassadors summer adventure – Clara, Karam and Patricia tag along with one of the Kouchibouguac National Park resource conservation team members to see first hand some of the important behind the scenes conservation jobs that happen to maintain ecological integrity and promote visitor safety.

Part 3 of the Parks Canada Youth Ambassadors summer adventure – Karam, Patricia and Clara spend a day in the life of a researcher in Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park and discover how science is being used to reduce plastic pollution!

Part 2 of the Parks Canada Youth Ambassadors summer adventure – Clara, Karam and Patricia go whale watching from the shores of Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park! #DYK nearly 2 200 species have been observed in the marine park?

All summer long the Parks Canada Youth Ambassadors will be sharing their adventures exploring some of Canada’s most amazing places. Check out part 1 where they take part in a shoreline clean up and choose to travel sustainably by taking the train from Ottawa to Montréal to Québec City!
