In honour of the theatrical release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Alison Sudol’s role as Queenie, hundreds of individuals and organizations joined #NatureForAll in celebrating incredible creatures everywhere! Through a social media campaign that included a thunderclap and accompanying social media posts of peoples favourite real life fantastic beasts, #NatureForAll reached over one million people last Friday.
In the film, Alison’s character is transported into a world of witchcraft and wizardry, where in 1926 New York, she aids a Magizoologist (a person who studies magical creatures). In real life, Alison is an IUCN Goodwill Ambassador and passionately advocates for protection of our natural places so that people and creatures of all sorts prosper. She contributes her strong voice to conservation and encourages all to experience nature and to protect incredible creatures and the places we find them.
Organizations like the Jane Goodall Institute, National Geographic, Parks Canada, Canadian Wildlife Federation, Students On Ice, shared their incredible creatures throughout the week.
From the wilderness to national parks, marine conservation areas, zoos, aquaria, local parks, and your own backyard, this campaign shows that incredible creatures are waiting to be discovered and celebrated.
The campaign continues! Join the IUCN and #NatureForAll by showing your support for the protection of incredible creatures and the places we find them! Share your incredible creature and where you found it over social media. Make sure to hashtag #AlisonSudol, #NatureForAll, and #IUCN.
