Au cours des 10 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, Parcs Canada a embauch\u00e9 de jeunes Canadien.ne.s pour devenir jeunes ambassadeurs de Parcs Canada. Des centaines de jeunes passionn\u00e9s de nature et de culture postulent chaque ann\u00e9e dans l’espoir d\u2019obtenir ce poste et de vivre cette incroyable opportunit\u00e9 d’emploi \u00e9tudiant.<\/p>

Tout a commenc\u00e9 en 2012. Le programme a \u00e9t\u00e9 offert par le duc et la duchesse de Cambridge en l’honneur de leur premi\u00e8re tourn\u00e9e royale au Canada et pour marquer le 100e anniversaire de Parcs Canada.<\/p>

“Le programme des jeunes ambassadeurs de Parcs Canada est tout \u00e0 fait conforme aux initiatives environnementales et jeunesse que Leurs Altesses Royales appuient. C’est un cadeau appropri\u00e9 pour souligner leur premi\u00e8re tourn\u00e9e royale et le 100e anniversaire de Parcs Canada”<\/p>

Depuis sa cr\u00e9ation, le programme a beaucoup \u00e9volu\u00e9, mais l’objectif principal est toujours rest\u00e9 le m\u00eame : engager et inspirer les jeunes \u00e0 sortir et \u00e0 explorer notre patrimoine naturel et culturel.<\/p>

Comme beaucoup, COVID-19 a radicalement chang\u00e9 la nature du travail effectu\u00e9 par les jeunes ambassadeurs. Mais cela ne signifie en aucun cas que leur travail a perdu de son \u00e9clat ! Cette opportunit\u00e9 d’apprentissage incroyable demeure une mani\u00e8re exceptionnelle pour les jeunes de connecter avec leurs pairs, de parler des bienfaits de la nature, de parler de conservation et de partager des opportunit\u00e9s.<\/p>

For the past 10 years, Parks Canada has hired young Canadians to be Parks Canada Youth Ambassadors. Hundreds of young nature and culture enthusiasts apply every year hoping for this amazing student job opportunity.<\/p>

It all started in 2012. The program was established as a gift in honor of the first Royal tour of Canada by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and to mark the 100th anniversary of Parks Canada.\u00a0<\/p>

“The Parks Canada Youth Ambassadors Program is very much in keeping with the environmental and youth initiatives that Their Royal Highnesses support. It is a fitting gift to mark their first Royal Tour and the 100th anniversary of Parks Canada”<\/p>

Since it was established, the program has evolved quite a bit but the main goal has always remained the same: To engage and inspire youth to get out and explore our natural and cultural heritage.<\/em><\/p>

Like for many people, COVID-19 has drastically changed the nature of the work being done by the youth ambassadors. But in no way does this mean the job has lost any shine! It remains an incredible learning opportunity for youth to connect with their peers, talk about the benefits of nature, talk about conservation and share opportunities.<\/p>
