Health & Nature

This video was created by the Consorzio Universitario per la Ricerca Socioeconomica e per l’Ambiente and the Didattica Nazionale (DNA) per l’ambiente network as part of the Healthy Parks Healthy People global movement.

This video was created by WWF International for their joint Connect2Earth platform. It’s part of their health pack which explores how nature affects our health and raises awareness on how nature is vital to human health and in protecting it we’re protecting ourselves.

Connecting with nature is a potential public health strategy that is accessible and affordable for many populations, with research demonstrating not only protective values but restorative benefits as well. People tend to be happier, healthier, more productive, creative, active and engaged in community and civic life when nature is a meaningful part of their lives.

The WCPA Health and Well-being Specialist Group is leading the way in promoting the health and well-being benefits of nature across the conservation, health and other sectors.

On this page, you will find resources you can use to support your work in promoting the health benefits of spending time connecting with nature.
